It probably just shorted the circut out...Did you seperate the wires after that? If you did, than you should have no problem after that if the fuses are fine. If not, take the head unit out again, and make sure there are no exposed wires touching any metal pieces etc. tape up all the wires...make sure everything is connected properly...That sort of thing.
