My PI #: 97
http://www.outrunu.com/performance.html
Description: Here is some information on what your PI number might mean and how to use it.
The Performance Index does not directly predict ET.
It does relate vehicles with roughly equivelant hardware.
The best cars make efficient use of their hardware.
For example they are not using a twin 4bl carbs to run 12's or 13" wide slicks to run 13.0. These types of combos will greatly reduce your competitiveness.
Here are some ET and PI#'s relationships that are often referred to:
- A 50 point car with a good total tune and driver will be capable of a 15.99 ET
- A 100 point car with a good tune and driver will be capable of 12.00 ET
Q&A
My car scores 100 points, but goes 12.7 what's up with that?
- Maybe your car has the power but you have no traction.
How do I know if I scored my car correctly?
- It's possible your car may be inspected at the track. However, you can contact HTR or post on the web forum before going to the track to see if you are scored correctly. You do not have to post your cars ET potential when you ask for help, but just post your cars configuration and get some feedback on how to score it or how to make it more efficient. There are a lot of tricks and changes that are perfectly legal that will drop your score. Just ask and well show you how.
My car is set up efficiently and my car is still slow
- It could be that the driver is retarded.
I occasionally fall into this category.
