Ported throttle body will be shiny inside. Like it has been polished...because it has.
LS6 intake and LS1 intake.....little harder.
Easiest way I can think of quickly is the EGR port. LS1 has it, LS6 doesn't. It is a location for a hose right above the throttle body.

The cam itself should cost NO MORE than $400.
Then add valvesprings ($250 with retainers), pushrods ($120), oil pump ($140 if car is high mileage), LS2 timing chain ($40).
Add install price.

In order for a cam to breathe well, you want full exhaust, including headers. LS6 intake normally does well enough on stock heads with a cam.

There are TONS of LSx cams out there. It depends on how you want it to act.
