I'm not really sure about the bucking and engine light or the console clikcing. But with the car idling, the IAC motor sensor thingy could be cleaned. There are instructions for it at
www.stealth316.com In my old SL, the idle would jump all around to the point where it would stall. Before I cleaned it I would have to keep the A/C on in order to keep it running when my foot was off the gas.
