For a swap (like the link you posted) you'll need more than just the long block (axles, transmission, ECU, mounts). If you're concerned about gas mileage, then the b18b with it's transmission will be a good choice. The transmission is geared long, so it will keep the rpms down. However it will also slow acceleration.

For D-series info check out www.turbod16.com www.sohchonda.com. But with that many miles, it's best to just rebuild the engine if you're going get more performance from it. And your chipped ECU might be giving you a few extra hp, but it's also killing your gas mileage even more. If you want real performance out of your d16, then you should go turbo; otherwise it'd really be a waste of $.


And a K-series in a '92-'95 civic is more like 10K with all the parts you need (thought I'd throw that out there).
