The simple answer is this:
Short-ram = smoother power band, power increase throughout rpms
CAI = slightly more power than short-ram, power loss at low rpms.

lol...sorry I wasn't clear enough.
what I mean is, when the car idels for a while,
the engine bay gets hot,
then the short ram sucks the hot air from the engine bay.
When the engine sucks in hot air, the temp underhood rises.
then the ram sucks in even hotter air.....
that process go on over and over.
the fan runs, but it doesn't really help - because it's also blowing
hot air from the radiator.
