Good question. I actually am not sure if it would boot with a palomino. You might need to borow a old thunderbird do the bios update with it and after that put in the palomino.
What kind of chipset is the shuttle motherboard based on?
Personally i would recomend to get a new motherboard based on
K266A chipset wich can use ddr pc2100 or the new K333 chipset wich can use DDR pc 2700. MSI makes matherboards based on both and they are very reliable and is a way better brand than shuttle.They are cheap too the MSI kt266 pro 2 cost about 110$ it is based on the k266a chipset. and has as options usb2.0 and raid.
