Folks,
I decided to replace my '99 villager's driveaxles on myself… at least just to learn something new. I removed the brake caliper, brake disc, and driveaxle hub nut. The Haynes repair manual is not very clear on a few issues, and my questions are:
-1- Do I need to drain the transmission fluid?
-2- Do I need to disconnect the tie-rod from the steering arm?
-3- Do I need to remove the strut assembly from the steering assembly (which is held be two strut-to-knuckle bolts)?
-4- when the driveaxles are ready to come out, are their end points first pushed through the wheel hub and then pulled out away from the vehicle?
Any help here (or extra comments) would be appreciated
