hey thanks for the tip! i'll go out and try to mess around with the fuse box. i know it's working, so the motor is fine, right? when you said it costs me a grand to replace the motor, i was freaked out. the whole car ain't worth that much... it's like what costs you isn't the computer itself, but it's the software.
