Yes The JGC has a limit on towing, but it does very good, sure it's not a Cummins, but it can get the family camper and boat around, and you could most likely get away with bigger stuff with a weight dist. set up and a tri axle.
On ZJs with rear hitchs thy did some different things to the power steering, they put in high temp "O" rings. It's funny but my 360 5.9 ZJ had no power steering cooler option, it had to be dealer or self put on.
You can get away with a cool look if you get the V8 and I6 power steering coolers, they fit on the left and right in factory locations, I had all this stuff at one time.
I'm going to try to find a 3500 Dodge, I think they offer the best in class looks and power ability. What do you think?

Oh the cummins, 24v is a good vehice, the 3500 rides rough as heck, and even rougher if you get 4x4, diesel in my area is high, i would look at the 2500 or even ford, dodge is the cheapest for buying new, but the seats are the most uncomfortable also, but you can upgrade after factory seats for the savings, used ones be careful in the 3500 series because they were bought to be pullin and have friend that has one and has been through 3 transmissions on it and 1 rear end, reportedly ford has the strongest trans. my cummins had problem with the trans kept on acting like it was trying to shift again when already in od, trans shop did work on it $75, it was good for couple of months and sold it soon thereafter, new owner got a great deal but said he had to have the codes wiped then reprogrammed and now it is fine. have heard that is a problem with auto trans in dodge diesels.
