ok i bought my 2001 cavalier z24 2.4L like 5 months ago...since then ive put sum things on it and had my own little troubles with it but i thought i had everything good....but...my stepdad worked on it the other day and unhooked my o2 sensor by accident and i had drivin it that night....it was throwing so much fuel in the engine and i took it to a machanic and found out it was the 02 sensor..now i have that all hooked up fine....and changed my oil....and when i changed my oil i noticed that it smelled like gas and i could tell that there was some gas in it....i figured it was because of when i ran it with the o2 sensor unplugged and that now it should be fine and it was for awhile.....when i was driving home from school it started to sputter and like started cutting out...i looked down at my gauges and saw my check engine light come on....it just keeps doing it sputtering out every time i shift and i don't understand....i lost my code reader for the check engine light....and i need major help...when it sputters it almosts cuts out and then kicks back in fine till i shift again....if u can help me please email me at
