On the plus side the officer did mention that he wrote in his report that (the judge will see...or so he says) "I was very respectful and polite, as well as apologetic", and that "So far ive been doing well as a driver" My court date is on the 9th of Jan, 06'. I know that i will end up paying something but im am hoping to god that the cop WILL give that little quote spiel to the judge and that may lower (if not eliminate) any kinda licences rovoking or driving school, i have read that you can fight tickets but i know that i made a stupid mistake so instead of pleading not guilty im just going to plead stupidity and that i was not paying as much attention as i should have been-------what are some of your opinions on this, such as the fine, punishment, etc.......
----thanks....PS: as the subject says it is my first violation of any kind

That site helped me out, I'm 17 and got caught racing and reckless driving. Only speeding will go on my record, fined $90+ court fees(and lawyer, but you won't need one), and I gave up my license until February since I don't really need it to get to work for now.
I wasn't aware he was going to say it, but my police officer said that I was extremely apollogetic and polite etc etc and I guess that helped.
Chances are you'll get a good behavior thing for 6 months and if you don't do anything in that time it will be thrown out.
Dress nicely, bring both parents, look respectful.
