I am not being a bitch I just want to hear your opinion.
A lower offset would be better than a 48mm offset cause you will start hitting control arms and the shock/spring which is opposite of hitting the fenderwells.

On a Civic with 17x7" rims with 205/40 tires should be a 42-44mm offset. Anything larger (ie: 45, 46, 47mm offset) would start hitting the inside fenderwell and suspension components. A Civic with a 17x7.5" rims with 205/40x17" tires should be a 42-43mm offset cause as you get wider you need to go lower with the offset (ie: 40, 38, 36mm offset).
