Before I bought my Roadmaster, I did a lot of research online to see what people thought of the car, it's specs, any problems associated with it, etc, and from what I've read on a number of occasions, the "detuned" LT1 corvette engine was available from '94 to '96. Another interesting thing I found on eBay was this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT You could use this theoretically to convert a electric fan cooled radiator to a belt driven one. That would be quite a bit of work and modification knowing which wires to cut and what relays to disconnect, but for someone who wanted a belt driven fan to cool their radiator, it would be worth it. Also, from what I read about the '96 Special Editions is that GM really didn't do much to make the car "special" for collection purposes. They primarily changed the hood ornament and a few minor details, and ALL the cars made for that model year were labeled "Special Edition". That wasn't really enough to give the car a decent sendoff into history.
