as for the mirrors, you can install auto or manual, they'll both work but you can't control them without the motor..

about the hood scoops, hold the heat gun underneath the hood (engine side) and heat it from there. that way you won't run the risk of melting the paint as much.. as you heat the hood, keep trying to pull the scoops off gently so that you don't peel the paint off with the glue.. when the scoops are off, you can use some 900 to rub it off, but when you've got all the glue off, make sure you clean your hood cause 900 isn't great for paint. use a light degreaser and hot water (let the degreaser soak).. then rinse it and dry it.. after that a layer of paint sealant wouldn't hurt..

you dont have to do all the extra shit.. its not a big deal, thats just the way i'd do it. you'd get a very good final product.

add: be very patient with the hood scoops, and be gentle. you don't want to take any paint off your hood
