and you're sure it's a genuine car? Modified engine bay from KarKraft, etc... Numbers are right..

If someone yanked the engine it's probably in a dragster or other race car collection somewhere. Maybe it was blown up, parted out or stolen??

Before you run the 427 I'd check and see what prices are getting for boss 429 Mustangs that do not have their original engine in them go for. This should help you determine whether it's worth hunting for and buying a Boss 429 for it or not.

Then again, because Boss 429's were modified after Ford built them- were the 429 engines given a serial # to match the car? Is there a "#'s matching" 429 for each Boss 429 Mustang?
