Re: Real Performance from a V6 Vortec!!

He works on them for a livin . WE work on them first to keep from having to pay guys like him . He fixes our F****k ups and the rest of the problems and the little things that go bump in the night when old ladies are driving home from church at night .

Since when does a better flowing exhaust and intake harm any engine over time?.......

Your 95 would not be effected by the changes as much as a newer models . BUT the intake and exhaust will effect the fuel mixure ratio and ignition timing and WILL over time wear out internal parts prematurely . Lean mixture will cause it to run hotter in the combustion chamber and will burn an aluminum piston . Spark advance or retard will cause detonation which will wear out the rod bearings .We don't know enough about these things to argue about it . So have a beer and relax . Everyone has their opinion . Of course , some places you aren't allowed to voice it . But here we can . My opinion , you want reliability ,leave it OEM . I personally can't keep my hands off of it . Its my hobby . It keeps the parts stores in business . Rob
