I took the `79 kit out of the box and took some pics:

I already double-ziplocked the decals. That bird is going to be a chore to not tear. It`s quite big. The tires are very realistic with no flash whatsoever. The chrome is perfect.

I thought this was interesting. They kept the aluminum portion of the dash on a chrome tree (excellent vent detail), which will make it very easy to detail. The surface texture looks correct, compared to my uncles `80 TA. The alternator is nicely detailed too.

I put the body next to the 1/25 Yenko model. The interior, seats and carpet, have very realistic texturing.

Another pic of the body. I placed the front end on it, and let it rest on two of the wheels. Proportions look good. I really cant wait to finish it.

Overall, this is a very detailed, high quality kit. This is surprising since it is vintage 1987 from Revell. There are some really nice touches they include. Like the side marker lights that are seperate clear items. And the turn signal and tilt wheel adjustment arms that fit inside one half of the steering column before it attaches to the other half of the steering column, which should make it look very realistic, since this is the way real cars are.
There is a little weirdness though. The engine block halves have the oil pan molded to each half.
