My 1996 Sephia makes noise that comes from the front of the car after accelerating to 35MPH and above. Sound sort of like a knocking or when a tire is loose. When you let off the gas the noise stops. Will make a pinging sound when engine is under a load. Usally isn't constant, only heard under certain conditions.
Sounds like your problem is completely different.
