Unhappy 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Oil Pressure Sending Unit Replaecment?

Hi, I realized my oil pressure has been reading "0" all the time. I recently found a broken electrical connection near the oil filter. There is a 90 degree metal fitting that goes into the oil filter housing, and an electrical connector (2 prong) that is attached to the fitting.

The electrical connector broke off of the fitting (probably during an oil change). Is the fitting I spoke of and the electrical connector actually the oil pressure sending unit? How does this thing work? To replace the unit, do I need to unscrew it from the oil filter housing? Also, seems like the gasket on the oil filter housing is leaking. Is this replaceable on the 4.0?

Thanks, anyone!
