U saved me $140, i didnt event think about buying a generic k&n filter. i went to advanced and got one for $45( it is cone-shaped that ends spherically- for a mustang cold air intake i think)

and spent the last two days fabricating an adapter, and support bracket. put it on and right when i started it, it makes a sweet whistling sound. then in 2nd gear i hit it and around 4000 that sucker screamed! it sounded awesome! like a corvette but smoother. it also looks great under the hood it fills up all of the space that the air box did. if i figure out how to put pics on here ill post it. thanks for the idea shoulda thought of it myself
