One other thing, make sure you aren't dragging a brake. Drive it around and get everything good and hot, then stop on a slightly off-level surface and put it in nuetral and see if it will begin to roll easily. If you are dragging one it'll just sit there.

Can you feel the torque convertor lock when it should? That'll waste a fair amount of fuel when cruising if you aren't getting lockup.
