First, it seems to go better in the mud/snow when useing the Full Time (AWD) not the Part Time (4WD) setting. They seem to act back asswards. Lemme clarify, 98 D with manual shift transfer case.
Then after driving in Full Time 4wd and shifting on-the-fly back to 2wd, the AWD does not disengage. I know this from the bucking action you get when turning sharp. Acts like the front hubs are locked in Part Time 4wd. The only remedy I have found is to put it in reverse for about 3 revolutions of the tires. Hmmm, just like the old days.
Am I missing something? I thought shift on the fly meant just that. Same as the old Blazer. Or is something not right?
Bump
Iether I am not making myself clear or people buy these things for what????
Any one else have the same thing going on???
