To remove the trans DO NOT support the engine. Support the trans on a trans jack and slowly let it down so you can get at the 6 mount bolts with a 4 foot long extenstion and 9/16" universal socket. Once you have everything off and the bolts out, jack the trans back up until the engine is about level and then slide the trans back until it is free from the engine (remember to remove the TC to flex plate bolts). The engine will remain level all on its own without any further support with the trans off of it.
