I hate to say it, but i'm with you on getting rid of that P.O.S. It almost sounds like they got the car from someplace that had suffered from a hurricane and flooding (judging by the fluids). Well, I think what happened was the previous owner had the car reposesed. And he knew it was going to happen so decided to 'sabatage' the car.
That's my guess...
