your defroster grid on your back window could be bad. If that's the case, there is a way to fix it, without having to replace the entire back window. Find an ohmmeter and measure the resistance on each grid. If you find that there's no continuity (or OL reading on the meter), your grid's bad and the entire window will have to be replaced. When measuring measure in 1 inch gaps. If again, no continuity exists in those 1" gaps, the window's gotta go.
