The drag strips only work for controlling static discharge for sensitive/radio equipment. If you are tired of being zapped when you step out of the truck:
Dissolve 1 Oz. generic liquid fabric softener to 8 Oz. plain old water. Put this into a flower mister/spray bottle with a trigger. Set it for a fine mist. Two or three sprays against the seats and the interior will control static up to a week.
