Carbon fiber is a lot stronger than fiberglass. The reason they used it as a frame on your hood is to be cheap. A 100% real carbon fiber hood will cost you about $1200.

Actually some are... They use CF, fiberglass, as well as graphite and boron fibers... True CF is used more tho... And true all the others are cheaper... But my point still stands, hoods made out of a fiberglass frame are still MUCH lighter than OEM... And where do you get $1200 for a 100% CF hood? ViS hoods go for about $400... And they use a "strong carbon fiber skeleton."...
