I'm loooking in my 96-97 civic Helm's manualand it does mention 2 types of brake systems in civi'c of this year. It specs a 'conventional' and ABS types. Regarding the differences in a smaller brake booster in an EX as opposed to an LX/HX/DX, it does specify a 7" or 8" brake booster for ABS systems, but I can't find any mention of an EX having a lager booster. Same goes with the master cylinder and the proportioning valve. Seems by the info I have at hand that there is either ABS or non-ABS components.

I think the EX's that arent't equipped with ABS share the 'conventional ' brake system with the lower class Civics. I personally know that theEX has the same size rear drums as my HX. I was working on my friend's 2000 EX and noticed this. His front calipers were slightly different in style, but I didn't notice a larger rotor or larger drums in the rear.

That was a damn good idea though. I hadn't thought I might need a larger booster or diff master cylinder/prop valve.

So what it comes down to I think is that if I get rear discs from a GSR, I'll be fine as far as not replacing the master/prop valve/booster, but if I go ITR components, there's a good chance I'll need to get ITR verrsions of these components.

Can someone verify this info??????? If I have to hunt these parts down too, I doubt an ITR conversion will be possible, but I want larger rotors to accommodate my 16" Konigs.
