I took the climate control panel out and opened it up. It was merely a loose resister or capacitor (it was a large rectangular brick with a wire out each end) that was no longer making contact with the board. I had a friend solder it back on and that fixed it. It was simple to get the climate control box out, and it was simple to diagnose once it was opened.

did you have to do anything to reset it, to erase the trouble code stored?
