I am having some very frustrating problems with my headlamp switch. When you pull it out to the parking/tail light position or the low/hi-beam position, no lights come on at all. My daytime running lights (headlights) work fine, that is to say, with the switch in the 'off' position. I have replaced the headlamp switch assembly with a new one (actually an aftermarket one), and I am having identical problems. With both the original switch and the replacement, I
am able to get the parking lights to come on, but only with the button pulled out to a point just before it would click in to the parking light position. Are you following this? It's very sensitive, and if I pull the button out any further than this, I lose those lights again. I've had various electrical problems with my Jeep from time to time, but nothing like this. It seems like I am all around the solution, and I hope I don't have to bring it in to a shop. Labour sucks, as we all know!
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions??
