Also since your 95 is a vortec, the fuel pressure is very high, the pumps are prone to have problems on these. Make sure there is very little fuel restriction and replace your fuel filter regularily.

cpi units go bad every 5-7 years. fuel pressure should be 58-62psi at idle.
