clicking distributors are usually due to a loose rotor or component that just needs to be tightened in a distributor.
i dont know what you mean by bushings, but, if the camshaft to dizzy part of the distributor is worn down really bad, then the dizzy is no good. it is not worth salvaging unless you want to put the money and effort into rebuilding it.
