Chris - If you want to take a nice car and turn it into a curbshot-magnet dump truck, that's your perogative. I'm not telling you not to do it - it's your car and this is the United States of America where you are free to do whatever you want to any property you own (in most cases) - but what I laid out is the negatives to doing so.
- It will kill the handling and cornering capability.
- It will completely kill the ride. A dump truck is an accurate assessment.
- Unless you put rubber bands on the wheels in place of tires, you will kill your acceleration and fuel economy. Stock 225/70HR15s on a 9C1 are 28 inches in diameter, the wheels you want are 24s - your tires would have to be 2" thick maximum. Might as well be driving a forklift.
