I just took a look at the wires coming from the Stereo and Equalizer in the car. Called up my Uncle and asked him about the ground wire. I know it's a problem with the Equalizer cause I can make the noise quiet or loud with that, and not the volume on the radio ya know.

I was also looking here at their tips.

Quote:
3. Ground the amplifier to a clean metal surface on the car's chassis. The ground should be no more than 18 inches from the amplifier. The ground cable must be the same gauge size as the power cable being used.

Tips:
You don't want to route signal wire next to power wire because that could result in noise entering the sound system. If power cable and signal cable must cross, cross them perpendicularly.
No idea if my uncle followed this, but I have tried moving the Source Ground wire a few times and no luck ridding myself of that noise. I was wondering if I could rid myself of the equalizer all together, but I can't do that right now, cause I still have school on the weekdays (senior), so maybe I can work with that when I get home tomorrow.

I can get pics if necessary, anyone have any ideas?
