I'm 6'2". I had a little room above my head before, so I could afford to move the seat up a bit. I'm pretty close now though, probably an inch or less away. I'm not exactly skinny either, so I had broken down my seat some and that gave me extra room. The gel pad added about 1/2" to the seat bottom, but I think just rebuilding it back to spec. added another 1/2" or so too. What I could use is a bit more leg room.

You must have a long torso?

I bet a good upholstery shop could keep the seat the same height for you and just put better material in.

Correction! There is only about 1/2" between my head and the roof now. If I put the seat into a more upright position, my head will touch the trim around the sunroof. It's fine though since I wouldn't like the seat back that far forward, and will probably settle a bit over time.
