hey guys and gals REALLY NEED HELP on this one????!!!!!

my friends car, after replacing front pads and rotors the brake pedal goes farther down than it did and almost have to stand on it going down hill to get it to stop i have done this on diffrent cars 100 times never a problem, no fluid leaks and did not open a single brake line and my friend is not real happy with me any thoughts suggestions will be greatly appriciated
