it's elctrical alright. now the clicking that would be the relays under the hood for fuel pump etc... that's usually a sign of a really low battery. if the battery is new and the new battery is good and the terminals are good then you may have a bad connection elsewhere. your main chassis ground where the -ve cable meets the body work could be at fault or the main engoine ground which is located by the started. clean them up with some rough sandpaper and try again. if it persists i'd take the new battery for testing. when you checked the terminals did you clean them up at all? it could look like a good connection but a piece of sandpaper costs very little and can fix many a thing!
