Re: Enthusia - Good game or no?
Bump, I picked this up earlier this week.
First off, it's not as good as GT4, but there are some things I like about it more than GT4. I like the career mode setup where it's to your advantage to run clean and stay on track, and I like the handicapping system where you can still get good levels of points for using an inferior car in a race even if you don't win. I also like that you can adjust the setup for just about everything on the car from the beginning, and that it shows what the changes that you are making will do to the car. It also has the Nurburgring Nordschleiffe, and unlike GT4, you can run it backwards. It also does have some very cool cars that GT4 doesn't (BMW E30 M3 and BMW M1 are two that immediately come to mind).
I don't like that the brakes are terrible in every car I've used so far, and though the fictional tracks use some bits and pieces from other tracks, none of the fantasy tracks has really made me think, "Wow, I'd really like to drive on this track if it existed in real life" like a few of the tracks in GT4 do.
Net result: For $30, it's still a decent buy that is different enough from GT4 to make it worthwhile.
