Basic question on tire pressures
Hi,
I have an older Ford Ranger XLT 4X4, - not sure if the model numbers are the same in Asia, but it is your basic 2 door light pickup. It is rarely driven off road - usually on good quality blacktop, and unloaded.
The recommended tire pressure is 26/26 or 26/28 loaded. I have just bought some new Pirelli Scorpion A/T tires for it. The vehicle feels much better with higher tire pressures with these tires, - more controllable, quieter, more responsive steering with pressure as high as 35 all around. Based on this, in dry road conditions, would be it be advisable to increase pressures somewhat, if not to 35 then around 30 or so?
Thanks,
Peter
