Tie Rods and 1 CV Axle (replacement)

Hey there, new to the forum but have surfed for the last few months or so and really enjoy it.

I started realizing a rougher ride in my cav a couple months ago and had it diagnosed at tires plus, carX (and a couple other places). They said I needed a left outer tie rod, right inner tie rod and right cv axle. The ballpark quote (give or take) from the 4 different places was $600.00 (labor alone was at least half of that). I drove on them up until yesterday when I was rounding a local lake at about 25 MPH and the front end felt like it was gonna fall off. So I stopped and noticed that the left tire was facing right and the right tire was facing left.

Long story short, I have minimal car repair experience (alternators, wiring, tune ups etc) and was told by the guy at auto zone that I was better off letting professionals repair it.

Only problem is $600.00 is ALOT of $$$$$ for a college student on a budget

what do you think (parts are only like $200 bucks) will I wind up killing myself doing 90mph down 94 east after I do it myself?
