My radio clock light was very bright and stayed on after I shut off the engine, and I noticed that it drained my new battery dead in about 2-3 days if I did,nt run the car. I removed the fuse from that slot and it cured the short/drain. My radio will not keep it's program , I have no chime when door is open or headlights are on but otherwise that's extent of it. I have not been able to locate the exact component or wire which is shorted though. Let me know if you have similar results if you unplug the #10 fuse. I'm unfamiliar with the 99 but suspect it's a very simlar problem.

Thanks for the quick response and removing the fuse does cure the problem. Unfortunately, Fuse #10 disables my radio completely not just the program memory. So I will need to find short but I don't really want to dismantle the dash to find it. Any other suggestions or interpretation of components on Fuse #10.
