maybe this thought will help you all....
the oil pressure sender is an electronic device and varies depending on multiple variables. old dirty oil settling inside it is one thing that makes a difference.
My car used to say 5 psi at idle (hot) with 125k miles. I got smart and put a live gauge on it and it read 17psi (hot). I bought a new oil pressure sensor and it reads 15psi at idle(hot). Trusting your dash gauge with high mileage on your car is not a good idea if you're worried about oil pressure. If it bothers you, get a new sensor, they're cheap. GM service manual does say 5 psi min at idle hot, but your engine would be close to crap if that were true... try a live gauge first you might be suprised.

also... the DRL issue
unplug the DRL resistor located in the drivers side fender by the air box. its white and U shaped.... voila! no DRl's
