Completed: Avex Dome NSX JGTC

My latest finished model is Tamiya's Avex Dome NSX from the 1997 JGTC season. I picked this kit up from eBay for under £10, and intended it to be a good kit to practise some new techniques for some more challenging projects I had lined up. I didn't think it would cost too much for supplies either, until I knocked over a bottle of microset by accident onto the unused decal sheet This melted the unused decals and meant I had to buy a replacement set from F1 Specialites in the USA.

Apart from that mishap, the kit went together well with no real problems. The paint is TS-15 Blue and TS-26 Pure White. Over half of the car is covered with decals. The TS-15 is a good match for the blue colour on the decal sheet. Finished with Tamiya wax and compounds
