Quoting only because I get dirty looks from my car which at one time was a Real police Impala. I don't have spotlights, pushbar or anything mounted in my windows. Just the standard black wheels with caps and I STILL get dirty looks from people.

As for looking like a Police car. Spotlights are a big one. Most cruisers have one on the driver side only, although many have come with them mounted on both sides. Pushbar helps the appearance from the front. The other obvious thing would be the black Steelies with center caps. Its a purely your choice if you wanted to add the chrome lip around the edge of the rims as some police cruisers do have them.

Depending on what sort of cruiser your trying to look like. Attenna's mounted on the trunk in either Single, dual or Triple attenna's. My cruiser had 3, Notice pics of the 3 spots on my trunk below.

and a closeup of the stubs...

Perhaps another thought for adding to an Impala for looking 'legit. Would be lights mounted on inside parts of the vehicle. Like these novelty lights I found mounted still to my trunk...

Theres also a rack back there... this is now assembled in my car, with my stock radio attached to it.

Another interior thing, would be getting a police-style console with all the buttons, radios such as a CB and whatnot in the center. The consoles can easily be found at http://www.galls.com

So I end with this picture from the inside of my cruiser. Which desperatly needs one of said above consoles along with a CB.
