It's maddening: when I turn the headlights on, the trunk pops open. This also can happen when the heater is activated. The turn signal dash lights glow dimly and the signals don't work.

This started happening shortly after I heard a nearby lightning strike.

A half-hour search by the dealer revealed nothing. I've been over much (but not all) of the wiring. It's been suggested that a computer may be malfunctioning.

Any ideas? And I've never dealt with the car's computer -- where is it, and how easy would it be to replace with, say, a pull from a junkyard?
