I honestly cant see how McLaren can maintain high engineering values without someone as un-compromising as Murray in charge. I like the Ford GT, but its a completely different environment between Fords SVE (I think) and Mercedes and McLaren.
I think the best hope for a "baby" F1 will be if Gordon designs a car with his own company. Would be interesting as it woulf probably be far better than the Mercedes/McLaren P8 combination  |
The Ford GT is built and painted by Saleen; the drivetrain and interior are taken care of in Ford's Wixom plant in Michigan. Ford's Special Vehicle Team is aka SVT.
