All 1mz-fe's (3.0L v6) are OBD-II compliant. They were the first production engine to do so.
However... 94-96 1mz-fe's are not fully compliant, as they held over the OBD-I Toyota style connectors. Consisting of DLC1 & DLC2, and DLC3 (for the hand-held Toyota transmission interface.)

You can't plug a 94-96 into an OBD-II computer.


If you want to check a code, open any DLC & bridge E1 & TE1. The CEL will flash the trouble code<s>.
