Since I posted this question, I have found as you indicated I should use all of the 66 steering linkage with the 68 spindles. I am also planning on using the 66 outer tie rod bracket which bolts up to the spindle to have the complete 66 steering linkage. The only issue I see now is this bracket is shorter than the 68 bracket. I am going to dry fit of the 68 spindles with the 66 steering linkage to see if there is any interferance issues.
