Hi Mike,
A couple of things to check.
First, does the compressor run when you turn it on at the rear of the vehicle? If yes, then you need to check the arm that is attached to the rear axle to see if it will move up or down. If the arm is seized (apparently they do this) then a liberal amount of WD-40 at the control end may help to loosen it.
Second, you might want to check the fuse panel on the right passenger side of the dash. Can't remember which one it is, but it is an obscure abreviation from my recollection and a 20 amp fuse I think.
